After the purchase by Google and later Lenovo, Motorola has completely changed its philosophy adjusting the strategy towards a more focused market taking notes on the user experience, rather than making complicated settings and layers of customization over Android, as their teams are based on two main pillars: updates and user customization. This year has been especially important for the company, with the announcement and diversification of its Moto X range, but which have also seen interesting updates to Moto 360, Moto E and of course, the Moto G, the device that actually bring the change and become the best-selling smartphone of the company. During this week, Motorola had an event in Mexico where they presented its new Moto X-Force, but that was not all because they surprised everyone at the event by unveiling a new version of its Moto G third generation bearing the name ‘ Turbo Edition.
More power, same packaging
During the event they did not release any details, mainly made the announcement in a kind of teaser, all I knew is that it will be available in Mexico next week, but there was no information about a possible commercialization in Europe or other countries until today. Motorola has confirmed that the Moto G Turbo Edition will hit Europe and the announcement will be next week. Among the features of this new Moto G, we find an interesting update in the section on technical specifications, as the appearance and materials remain intact, where customization via Moto Maker continues in countries where this feature is available as well as the IP67 certification which makes it water and dust proof. Of the main changes is the addition of a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 eight-core and 64-bit, like the Moto X Play, leaving aside the Snapdragon 410. The rest of the specs are complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage expandable via microSD. Another new feature is the integration of fast charge TurboCharge on a battery of 2470 mAh. On the other hand, the display remains in the 5 inches with a resolution HD 720p. Everything else remains intact, that is, chambers 13 and 5 megapixels, the ability Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE, all on Android 5.1.1with the promise of Marshmallow upgrade to 6.0.
Price and Availability
The Moto G Turbo Edition will be available in Mexico from November 13 for about 260 euros. And in the case of Europe, the company has confirmed its announcement for next week, which still need to define the price, availability date and the countries where you can buy.
